Prior to 1999 the only live music you heard on Bourbon Street was Jazz and Blues. MGK was the brainchild of Glenn Guarin and was formed from hand-picked musicians from all over the country to be the house band at the club, The Big Bad Wolf. The band had such an impact on Bourbon that almost all the clubs changed formats to Rock/ Classic Rock as well. Since that time Bourbon Street has developed an overwhelming number of rock-oriented venues.
